Senior Manager I Strategic Initiatives for Large Retail Company Job at Redline Recruitment – Sandton, Gauteng
Main Purpose of this Job:
To manage strategic initiatives across the broader eCommerce team and support a variety of activities, ranging from managing strategic projects/programs to supporting partnership development to product commercialization and requirements gathering. To assist with acquisition and retention programs, including loyalty, discounts and referrals.
Key Performance Areas:
Manage strategic initiatives in support of the overall eCommerce team
Work with product, technology, and sales teams to design, develop, and execute initiatives supporting various products within the banners
Work across non-product functions to ensure product readiness for launch
Collaborate with technology partners to ensure the on-time, on-budget delivery of initiatives
Develop commercialization and roll-out plans across various channels
Prepare and deliver regular strategic initiative updates to management
Design interventions and activities to maximize benefit and minimize disruption in line with the business strategic intent
Perform ad hoc research and develop strategic activities in line with business objectives
Support development, pressure test and finalize strategic initiative
Financial/Goal tracking – Formalize strategic initiatives via metrics, KPIs, and success factors and establish initial top-down plan
Plan coordinate and implement strategic plans/activities
Facilitate the completion of business cases as and when needed
Assist teams in tracking results and their impact to the integrated financial model
Manage interdependencies, prioritize and sequence flow for assigned initiatives
Manage progress and adapt work as required ensuring deadlines are met
Identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to prevent delays ensuring successful implementation of strategic initiatives
Build credibility, establish rapport and maintain communication with stakeholders at multiple levels, including those external to the organization.
Prepare leadership reports providing detailed updates on initiatives.
Manage relationships with clients and stakeholders on initiatives and expectations.
Build relationships with business, peers and team to gain confidence and create a positive working environment.
Ensure that essential communication takes place at all levels of the organization and team.
Risk, Governance and Financial Management:
Pro-actively keep up-to-date and ensure full compliance with global and local corporate governance and statutory requirements
Fulfil IT Security requirements as defined by Group Technology and Compliance
Ensure data privacy and security aligned to IT Security policies
Minimum Academic, Experience, Professional Qualifications:
Degree in Business Administration or related business filed.
Postgraduate Degree will be advantageous.
7 – 8 years’ relevant Strategy experience;
Retail Industry experience – strong business and commercial acumen.
Proficient in MS Office (i.e. Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Salary: +/- R1.3 Million P/A. This is depending on the Candidate’s existing salary, skills, experience and qualifications.
