Your Role and Responsibilities

The Security Consultant: Security Intelligence & Operation position is for an experienced security professional with demonstrated consulting experience who can deliver security advisory services in the Security Operations and Threat Intelligence space.

Candidates in this role will be the SIEM Transition Architect to IBM Global SOC Managed SIEM services. Responsible to build use cases, custom parsers and fine tune customer environments. Ideal candidates will be experienced in analyzing cyber threats and security intelligence and determining indicators of compromise that are relevant to the environment.

Minimum 5 years in Security Field

Experience in Implementing SIEM Solutions (QRadar is a must)

Experience in building USE CASES and Fine Tuning activities (Especially QRadar)

Knowledge of security intelligence threats and threat actors.

Knowledge of log formats for syslog, http logs, DB logs and how to gather forensics for traceability back to event

Knowledge of packet capture and analysis

Experience with log management or security information management tools

Experience with Security Assessment tools (NMAP, Nessus, Metasploit, Netcat)

Ability to make information security risk determinations based of threat intelligence analysis

Understanding of the Security Industry

Well organized and structured, able to manage multiple tasks concurrently

Customer orientation, maintain high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards

Working with wide range of large enterprise and complex environments

Proven Technical expertise, at least 4 years in Information Technology and Security products with hands-on experience on basic system management (Linux, Windows, Unix-like) and networking knowledge (TCP/IP networking protocol).

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
