Officer

The Officer patrols Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital and the properties of off-sites.

Position Requirements

Rotates into Security Dispatch role.

Answers phones and maintains logs.

Monitors video surveillance systems.

Performs traffic control.

Receives shipments and parcels after normal business hours.

Generates incident reports on the computer.

Escort employees to vehicles, lock and unlock various scheduled areas.

Essential Functions

Assists in controlling and problems with patients and visitors.

Conducts safety tours and equipment checks throughout the entire hospital.

Responds to emergency calls and pages.

Assists in conducting drills and security training.

Generally maintains the Safety and Security of Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital.

Physical Demands

Medium work: Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly.

Must have the ability to work under pressure in an emergency situation.

Educational, Licensure, & Experience Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Completion of 120 course of Security training from OPOTA or 5 years of Security experience preferred.

Good driving record with no more than 2 moving violations and no more than 2 moving violations and no serious (DUI, reckless operation, etc.) violations within a 3 year period.

Computer skills to include basic Microsoft Windows operation (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
