Reports to: Asset Protection Officer (Investigator)

Job Location: Las Vegas, Nevada

Salary Range: 38,000-45,000/annually Hourly – Non Exempt

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Asset Protection Officer (Investigator), the primary responsibility of the Loss Prevention – Surveillance Operator is to investigate and interview staff about possible shrinkage events. This role is responsible for monitoring digital CCTV system of retail and manufacturing facilities throughout Nevada and searching for anomalous activities that could or has led to product shrink.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct digital video surveillance of multiple locations

Understand camera layouts and be able to follow suspicious persons or vehicles around properties

Study camera footage watching customers and employees

Conduct reviews as assigned

Investigate product loss

Ability to detect shrink and fraud, taking appropriate actions to protect products/cash and prevent further losses

Write and record statements

Download video, photographic, and audio evidence as evidence corroborating any investigative reports

Write detailed reports on incidents including investigation process, timelines of events to include time, camera, and type of incident observed and proof in findings

Analyze product transactions searching for anomalous activity, utilizing exception-based reporting to identify areas of loss or shrink opportunities

Performs audits of non-priority areas

Promotes and monitors the confidential treatment of all relevant information

Report findings regularly to Manager and Director

Other duties as assigned

Excellent written and communication skills

Flexible availability to meet the needs of the business (including evenings and weekends)

REQUIREMENTS/PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

1-2 years in retail loss prevention with an emphasis on operations and areas of potential product/monetary loss, preferred

1-2 years of Loss prevention experience, preferred Experience in conducting data audits, required

Patient and capable of completing monotonous tasks

Inventory experience a plus

Knowledge of the Nevada cannabis industry a plus

Previous CCTV experience a plus

1-3 years of Leaf Logix experience preferred

1-3 years of METRC experience preferred

1-3 years of Loss prevention experience preferred

Must be proficient in Microsoft excel and word

Understanding and knowledge of Cannabis products

Must stay current and adhere to all policy and regulations of the Cannabis Compliance Board and company policies in the areas he/she operates

Knowledge of state and federal laws relating to key areas of responsibility

Must be able to secure Nevada Agent Card Registration with the Nevada Cannabis Compliance Board

Must be 21 years of age or older, and be able to pass an extensive background check

Must be authorized to work in the United States

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Grasping, lifting, walking, standing, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions

Must be able to frequently lift, carry, and balance up to 30 pounds, occasionally

May include walking or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over and/or crouching

Moderate to loud exposure to noise level. Long periods of sitting

Exposure to long periods of bright lights

Long periods of prolonged use of office equipment including computers and phones

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed mostly in both retail and cultivation facilities. The working area may be odorous at times and loud, fluctuating between cold and warm temperatures. Involves frequent contact with staff. Work may include dealing with law enforcement and occasional State inspectors.
