Loss Prevention Manager (DC) Job at Sportsman’s Warehouse – 3.4 Salt Lake City, UT
Purpose of Position:
The DC Loss Prevention Manager assists in the detention of employees and contracted vendors for theft, fraud or combative situations. The DC Loss Prevention Manager observes cameras at length while protecting the company’s assets and maintains a strong Loss Prevention and Safety culture in the warehouse to reduce losses and liabilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure adequate Loss Prevention and Security staffing within the DC and ensure employees are properly trained
Supervise, motivate and develop Loss Prevention team members
Manage all investigations of merchandise loss, including internal theft
Maintain a close working relationship with DC management
Assist with the detention of employees and serve as a witness during the theft interview process
Maintain trailer and shipment security through the use of a strictly monitored seal verification program
Assist with adherence to the safety program through monitoring practices via personal observation and the use of closed-circuit television (CCTV)
Assist with enforcing access to warehouse by authorized and unauthorized personnel
Act as liaison for all persons entering the warehouse
Conduct daily walks of the warehouse to ensure policies are followed, the building is secure, and to identify theft or damage
Ensure all Loss Prevention matters are properly documented in the LPMS
All other duties as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written skills
Attention to detail
Knowledge of CCTV systems
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
A minimum of 2 years Loss Prevention experience required
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
None.

This position is considered sedentary. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard reach, stoop kneel to install/move computer equipment
The employee may be required to exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time
Specific vision abilities required by this job include near acuity at 20 inches or less due to computer work
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will experience a moderate noise level (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic)
