Rate: £50,000 – £64,000 – DOE – Day time core hours (No shift work required)

The team in situ have an excellent technical pedigree and work with numerous high-profile customers. The culture of the SOC is one of continual improvement, with the focus being on success of the whole provision over the success of the individual. They offer their client base a 24/7 offering utilising other SOCs around the world.

Work collaboratively with a 24/7 team to deliver high quality monitoring services to customers
Monitor and analyse alerts, network traffic and log data from a number of technologies
Escalate and explain security incidents to customers
Keep up to date with emerging security threats and vulnerabilities
Look to offer input for the improvement of the SOC service as a whole
Provide training to more junior members of the team
Experience in a role that is focused on security monitoring or intrusion detection
Technical knowledge of current vulnerabilities, threats and attack vectors
Comfortable engaging with all levels of stakeholders, from C-level through to engineers
Good knowledge of networking elements such as TCP/IP and other protocols
Experience workingon Cyber Security investigations and using EDR tools to provide remote response
Confident developing junior members of the team
Ideally, some experience retrieving and generating reports using SQL
