Analyst / Programmer (SAP Integration Development)
The Analyst / Programmer for SAP integration development will be responsible for the analysis, design and implementation of various applications throughout the group. The incumbent will be involved in the development of new interfaces using SAP XIPIPO, Analysing system issues and finding suitable solutions, Incident and problem management as well as attending to all Integration related Support incidents.
The incumbent responsibilities will also include monitoring of technical interfaces and correction / attending to failed messages. The incumbent must be self-managed and comfortable liaising with clients to resolve any related issues. Ability to develop software according to best practice, display good knowledge of JDBC adapter with SQL and investigate optimal connectivity protocols to third party systems.
Systems and Technology
Design interfaces around functional and business requirements. Liaise with customer base (management) on system requirements and integration with business processes and Develop software according to best practice.
Assist operations and support staff with the resolution of operational problems
Scoping / strategy sessions with the customer base / technical team to determine the longer term strategy and other complimentary platforms within the global corporation that fit the Enterprise
Architecture of group
Investigate optimal connectivity protocols to third party systems.
SAP integration software Life Cycle management.
Service Orientated Architecture (SOA).
Training of customer base in relevant tools where applicable.
Assist with technical guidance and on-the-job training of less experienced staff, and check work of colleagues as required. Coding and building enterprise solutions, using appropriate technologies such as Abap, Smartforms, Badi Implementations, BAPIsRFCs, BTEs, Enhancement spots, Function modules and function exits, etc.
Knowledge in SAP mobile technologies beneficial, including SAP Netweaver Gateway, SAPUI5, Fiori development and administration
JDBC adapter with SQL
Data and system protection, security and integrity.
Early Watch Alerts (EWA) reviews
Stakeholder relationships and support
Analyse and Design data exploitation systems to deliver information to business users, e.g. dashboards and information portals.
Analyse and Design client applications for business user decision support.
Apply development and operational processes and standards within the development team.
Revise and amend systems and programs where corrections, system changes and improvements are required
Analysis and improvement of enterprise systems using formal analysis methodologies to ensure best practice standards are maintained and / or implemented.
Identification of problems, opportunities and/or gaps in the tools and technologies deployed by Business Systems.
Review and recommend suitable technical specifications for system tools and technology.
Coding and building Enterprise Solutions, using appropriate technologies such as
Service Orientated Architecture (SOA)
Monitoring and implementation of security protocols determined by Risk and IT Management/ EWA
Document in accordance with departmental standards all aspects of the system

Assume responsibility for own personal and professional development
Keep up to date with evolving policies and procedures
Liaise with team members to agree on specific objectives and timeframes.
Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification
Relevant IT qualification i.e. BSc (Information Technology) / (Computer Science), BCom (Informatics) or Equivalent Diploma in software development and Computer Science.
SAP XI/PI/PO certification
Minimum of 3-5 years SAP XI/PI/PO development and maintenance experience.
Minimum of 3-5 years Application support and maintenance
Experience in and knowledge of the healthcare industry is beneficial.
Extensive experience in developing afore mentioned technologies and using current development standards
JDBC adapter with SQL and monitoring functions
